Welcome to the RI-EPSCoR Undergraduate Center for Marine Life Sciences
The Undergraduate Center for Marine Life Sciences (UCMLS) at Roger Williams University fosters student research training, educational outreach, and faculty reseach collaboration in the Marine Life Sciences, one of the RI-EPSCOR Research Focus Areas. The UCMLS can provide faculty, undergraduates, and school groups in the state of Rhode Island with equipment, supplies, live organisms, and, potentially, space to carry out marine research and hands-on laboratory investigations. We can also provide tours of Roger William's Marine Lab and Shellfish Hatchery.
This facility is sponsored by a recently awarded NSF/EPSCoR grant 0554548 and is part of the Rhode Island Experimental Program to Stimulate Competetive Research (RI-EPSCoR).
